Ireland stuns All-Blacks for first time in 111 years
Looking to end a drought? Simply tie it to Chicago.
For the second time in less than a week, the Windy City saw a century-old drought end.
First, of course, the Chicago Cubs downed the Cleveland Indians in a thrilling Game 7 of the World Series.
Then on Saturday, Ireland defeated the New Zealand All Blacks, 40-29, in front of 63,200 at Soldier Field.
How dominant had the All Blacks been?
The teams had played 28 times and the All-Blacks were 27-0-1 entering the match in Chicago.
Historic week for Chicago:
