Ellis Johnson knows a little bit about Alabama football. The leader of the Gamecocks defense had two stints at Alabama, one as outside linebackers coach from 1990-93 and the other as defensive coordinator from 1997-2000.
Johnson knows that it will be tough for No. 19 South Carolina to pull the upset when they take on the No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide this weekend, but he also says the match-up can provide a gauge for how good the Gamecocks are.
