SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians spring training game against a Kansas City Royals split squad was rained out Friday.

The game was called with Kansas City leading 3-2 with two out in the top of the third. Indians right fielder Drew Stubbs had a home run and double before the rain arrived.

The Royals say right-hander Wade Davis is suffering shoulder soreness and has been scratched from a Saturday start against San Francisco. The Indians say outfielder Michael Brantley should return to the lineup Sunday after getting 15 stitches in his left forearm following a slide into third base on Feb. 25.
