Indians pitcher Tomlin to undergo surgery

Cleveland Indians pitcher Josh Tomlin will undergo arthroscopic debridement surgery on his right shoulder, the team announced Friday.
Tomlin experienced discomfort in his right shoulder after a start in minor-league camp on March 30. Clinical evaluation and imaging revealed chronic inflammation in the AC joint of his right shoulder.
The 30-year-old Tomlin was optioned to the minors last week, however, the minor-league option will be rescinded and he will start the season on the major-league disabled list. He is expected to miss three to four months.

Tomlin, who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2012, has a 4.89 ERA in 448 career innings.
