Indians minor-leaguer throws no-hitter

Akron Aeros' lefty Giovanni Soto put his name into the record books Sunday afternoon, and immediately places the eyes of MLB in his direction.
Soto threw a no-hitter Sunday as the AA club of the Cleveland Indians franchise beat Altoona 2-1.
Soto struck out six batters while walking three, and ended up facing just one more than the minimum 27 batters in picking up the no-no victory.
The last time an Aeros player threw a no-hitter was 2009, when Jeanmar Gomez was perfect against Trenton. Gomez is currently at AAA Columbus, after spending much of the season in Cleveland' rotation.
In case you're wondering how a no-hitter allowed a run….a leadoff walk in the 6th inning advanced to third on a throwing error and scored on a groundout.
