CLEVELAND -- With the Indians facing a run of 30 games in 30 days starting Tuesday, Michael Brantley is getting a rare dare off.

Brantley hasn't had a game off since June 19 against Detroit. The last time he wasn't in the starting lineup was July 21 at Minnesota but he did get into that game as a pinch-hitter.

After having a .325 batting average on Aug. 12, Brantley is 3 for his last 30 and has seen his average fall to .311. He ended an 0 for 15 skid on Saturday with an RBI single in the third inning.

Mike Aviles will get the start in left and Jason Kipnis will move up to third in the order.

GOMES UPDATE: Catcher Yan Gomes, who is on the seven-day concussion DL, is likely to go on the upcoming road trip to Chicago and Kansas City. Chris Gimenez, who was acquired in a trade with Texas on Saturday, arrived in the clubhouse on Sunday and is expected to start one of the games against the White Sox.

FOUR AWAY: With Saturday's win, the Indians are four victories away from getting 9,000 in franchise history.
