There was a trade among minor-league pitchers on Sunday as the Indians acquired right-hander Duke von Schamann from the Dodgers in exchange for lefty Colt Hynes.
Von Schamann, 22, was at Double-A Chattanooga, where he made one start this season, pitching seven shutout innings of two-hit ball in a 2-0 win last Friday against Jackson. Last season between Chattanooga and Single-A Rancho Cucamonga he was 11-7 with a 4.67 ERA in 27 games with 23 starts.
He was a 15th-round selection in the 2012 draft out of Texas Tech and will be assigned to Double-A Akron.
Hynes was designated for assignment by the Indians on March 30.
