India restricts UAE to 81-9 at Asia Cup

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) India restricted the United Arab Emirates to 81-9 in a dead rubber at the Asia Cup on Thursday.

Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the way with the figures of 2-8. He was backed by Jasprit Bumrah, pacer Hardik Pandya and spin trio Pawan Negi, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, who all picked up one wicket.

Shaiman Anwar scored 43 for the UAE after captain Amjad Javed elected to bat first. Opener Rohan Mustafa was the only other batsman to reach double digits by making 11.

India had already reached the final of the Asia Cup and will meet host Bangladesh on Sunday.
