* The honors keep piling up for Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston and Miami tailback Duke Johnson. Winston was named ACC rookie of the week for the third time on Monday. He completed 23 of 32 passes for a career-high 393 yards and career-high five touchdown passes in a 63-0 rout of Maryland. Johnson had 325 all-purpose yards in Miami's 45-30 win over Georgia Tech. * Florida junior defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy earned the Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor for his performance in the 30-10 win over Arkansas. Purifoy had his first career interception for a touchdown, recorded four tackles and had the first sack of his career. Read More

* Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley says he expects Gabbert to miss Sunday's game at Denver because of a strained hamstring. The injury knocked Gabbert out of Sunday's 34-20 loss at St. Louis. Chad Henne will make his third start of the season. Read More

* The Dolphins are on pace to break the 25-year-old franchise record for fewest rushing yards in a season. With 22 yards in Sunday's loss to Baltimore, the Dolphins increased their season total to 348, or 69.6 per game. Read More

* Minnesota has agreed to terms with former Tampa Bay Bucs QB Josh Freeman. He won’t be able to start at Carolina this weekend, but he will challenge Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder. Read More
