FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- After a 38-16 win over No. 7 Montana on Saturday, Northern Arizona moved up in the FCS rankings, rising to 15th in The Sports Network top 25, 17th in the coaches' poll and 11th in the College Sports Madness poll.

Each of those rankings is the highest for the Lumberjacks this season.

NAU dominated Montana, taking an early 14-0 lead and never being seriously threatened. The defense scored two touchdowns and was able to limit Montana’s high-scoring offense to 16 points, giving the Lumberjacks their first home win over the Grizzlies since 1997. The 34 points scored also represented a season high.

For his performance in the victory, NAU defensive tackle Chima Ike was named the College Sports Madness Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. This is the third week in a row that a Lumberjacks player has earned the honor.

Ike recorded five tackles, a pair of sacks, a pass breakup and two quarterback hurries in the defense's dominant effort.
