Hurricanes-Sabres postponed due to weather
Due to weather conditions in Buffalo, the NHL has postponed Tuesday night's Hurricanes-Sabres game.
No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.
While both teams are off on Wednesday, Carolina plays Thursday and Friday and per league rules, teams cannot play three games in three days.
Buffalo is currently in a state of emergency, with as much as six inches of snow expected during the day and 5-8 in the forecast for tonight.
The Hurricanes are currently riding a season-high four game winning streak, which has come despite the absences of leading scorer Eric Staal and goaltender Cam Ward. Both players suffered lower-body injuries.
They'll be looking for their first five-game win streak since Feb. 5-March 4, 2010 when they host the Maple Leafs on Thursday.
