Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter has 26 million reasons to enjoy the holiday season.

That didn't stop him from having a bit of regret Thursday when his former team, the Los Angeles Angels, agreed with Josh Hamilton on a five-year, $125 million contract.

Hunter, 37, signed a two-year, $26 million contract with the Tigers last month after the Angels didn't match Detroit's bid.

"I was told money was tight but I guess the Arte had money hidden under a Mattress. Business is business but don't lie," Hunter tweeted, referring to Angels owner Arte Moreno.

Hunter quickly backed off, tweeting that Hamilton is one of the best players in Major League Baseball and then adding: "I'm not upset just have fun with it."

By that point, though, Hunter's first tweet had gotten national attention.
