How they voted: Badgers in 2016 AP football poll (Week 8)
As expected, the Wisconsin Badgers dropped in the latest Associated Press top-25 poll after losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
However, Wisconsin only dropped two spots, from No. 8 to No. 10.
It appears that in defeat -- a close 30-23 loss in overtime to the No. 2 team in the country -- the Badgers are gaining more respect from AP voters.
So this week, it is hard to complain about ballots. After all, Wisconsin does have two losses, therefore . . .
Oh, wait, there is the matter of Kirk Bohls, who has the Badgers at No. 19 -- the lowest Wisconsin is on any ballot this week. Who does Bohls have in front of Wisconsin? At No. 17 is Miami, which hasn't beaten anyone of consequence and has lost back-to-back games at home to Florida State and North Carolina. At No. 18 Bohls has Tennessee, which also has lost two straight and was absolutely shellacked at home last week by No. 1 Alabama, 49-10.
OK, enough of that talk.
Despite losing, Wisconsin was moved up on 13 ballots this week while 10 left the Badgers in the same spot they had them in after Week 7's vote. That's pretty incredible if you think about it.
The biggest move was from Adam Zucker, who had the Badgers at No. 14 last week but in Week 8 had UW ranked at No. 8.
