When Steve Spurrier was introduced as the new head coach of the Florida Gators, one of the first points of emphasis he made was about the benefit of playing Georgia in Jacksonville every year.

That viewpoint flew in the face of the general feeling in Gator Nation at the time. Florida had lost 15 of 20 against the Bulldogs and Gator fans were clamoring for a switch from Jacksonville to a home and home arrangement.
