Home Woes Continue for Stars

DALLAS -- Maybe heading out on the road for the next two games is exactly what the Dallas Stars need at this point. On the heels of a 7-3 loss to Detroit on Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center, the Stars fell 4-1 to Vancouver on Friday night and have now lost four straight on their home ice.
Tonight, the Dallas penalty kill was far from stellar as the Canucks converted on three of their five power play opportunities. The Sedin twins were a big factor in tonight's win by the visitors as each of them finished with a goal and an assist in tonight's victory.
By allowing three power play goals tonight, the Stars PK has now killed off just seven of their last 14 opportunities.
"We played a pretty solid game through the first period, the second period and third period. We had some adversity and tonight it came in the form of penalties that were self inflicted for the most part," Dallas head coach Marc Crawford said. "We didn't have any confidence on our penalty kill. Maybe we were busy reading their press clippings of how good their power play has been. It seemed to me as though we were back on our heels. When we got aggressive on the penalty kill, I thought we killed much better."
