ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas left-hander Derek Holland, who has been on the disabled list since June 7 with left elbow fatigue, will make a rehab start Wednesday night for Triple-A Round Rock.
Holland is slated to throw around 50 pitches for the Express. If all goes well, he'll make another rehab start July 2.
Holland had a bullpen session Sunday and said it went well.
The left shoulder fatigue Holland had was related to a virus he had been fighting for two weeks and led to him losing around 15 pounds. Holland has put much of the weight back on.
Holland was 5-4 with a 5.10 ERA in 12 appearances before going on the DL.
