MIAMI (AP) -- Dwyane Wade has been ruled out for Miami's game against the Boston Celtics, the third straight contest the All-Star guard has missed with knee issues.
It's the 12th time the Heat have held Wade out of a game already this season. The Heat are 24-6 when Wade plays and entered Tuesday 5-6 when he's out of the lineup.
Wade had an offseason shock wave treatment to relieve ongoing knee trouble, and typically it takes at least six months before recovering fully. This is the first time he's missed three consecutive games since late in the 2012-13 regular season.

Coach Erik Spoelstra said being back at home should help Wade get back into his usual workout routine. The Heat played six straight on the road before Tuesday.
