If there was any doubt about the toughness of Doug Fister, it's gone now.
The Tigers' starting pitcher Thursday night took a line drive to the noggin in the bottom of the second inning.
Gregor Blanco's shot up the middle hit Fister in the back of the head, then bounded into center field.
It looked awful, but after getting checked out by a trainer, he stayed in the game and got out of the inning.
