Hawks' win over Thunder ties SportSouth's regular season single-game ratings record

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks win against Oklahoma City on Friday, Jan. 23 generated a 4.5 HH rating in the Atlanta DMA on SportSouth, tying the highest-rated Hawks regular season game (vs. Boston on Jan. 29, 2010) ever on the network. SportSouth is the exclusive regional television home of the team.

Through 42 games, the Hawks television ratings in the Atlanta DMA are up 54 percent YTD (1.7 vs. 1.1) on SportSouth. The team is currently in the midst of a team-record 16-game winning streak and has won 30 of its last 32 games.

Additionally, the Hawks victory over Minnesota on Sunday, Jan. 25, generated a 3.6 HH rating, the second highest-rated game of the season.

"What the Hawks continue to accomplish on the court is truly amazing and they deserve the full support of the Atlanta community, whether it's turning out at Philips Arena or following the team on SportSouth," said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager, FOX Sports South. "The historic ratings from the games in prime time on Friday night and early evening 6 p.m. ET start on a Sunday clearly indicate the Hawks have become appointment viewing on SportSouth."
