ATLANTA (AP) -- The NBA has fined Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith $25,000 for making an obscene gesture during a game.
The incident occurred with less than 4 minutes remaining in Atlanta's 111-102 win over the New York Knicks on Friday night. The league announced the fine on Sunday.
It is the second penalty against the Hawks to be handed down from the game. Forward Marvin Williams was suspended for two games on Saturday for a fight with New York's Shawne Williams in the final minute of the game. Shawne Williams drew a one-game suspension.
Both suspensions are without pay.
Marvin Williams sat out Saturday night's loss at Dallas and will miss a home game against Toronto on Wednesday night.
