Hawks sign Daye to second 10-day contract
While Thabo Sefolosha's condition improves and Mike Scott remains out, the Hawks signed Austin Daye to a second 10-day contract, keeping some depth at the forward spot.
Coach Mike Budenholzer announced the deal Wednesday.
Daye has appeared in two games with the Hawks, playing five minutes vs. the Warriors and three against the Kings. He has a combined three points, three rebounds and an assist.
Taken with the No. 15 pick by the Pistons in the 2009 draft out of Gonzaga, Daye has averaged 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in a career that has also included stops with the Spurs, Grizzlies and Raptors.
The Hawks upgraded Sefolosha's status Tuesday, listing him as probable for Wednesday's game against the Magic. He has not played since Jan. 30 with a calf injury.
Scott, who suffered a strained toe on March 11 in Denver, is expected to be out for two to four weeks.
