Blue Jackets fans wondering what number they will see new acquisition Scott Hartnell wear this season in Columbus now have their answer.
Hartnell, who comes over from the Philadelphia Flyers, told BlueJackets.com his number will be 43.
"Coming to a new city, a new team and with a fresh start, why not change it up?" he told the site. "I looked at a couple of different numbers but 43 was the one I wanted to go with."
CBJ fans will get their first chance to see Hartnell and the rest of the Jackets on the ice in September when the exhibition season kicks off.
