Haren Off the Market for Braves' Foes

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim made the most recent strike in the trade market Sunday with the acquisition of Arizona right-handed starter Dan Haren.
The Angels traded lefty starter Joe Saunders to the Diamondbacks with two minor leaguers and a player to be named later for Haren, who was 7-8 this season in Arizona.
When the Rangers got left-hander Cliff Lee a couple of weeks ago, they struck first and the Angels obviously felt the need to respond. The Angels are seven games back of Texas in the American League West.
Haren now joins Jared Weaver, Joel Pineiro, and Ervin Santana in the Angels rotation.
Scott Kazmir is on the 15-day disabled list with a fatigued left shoulder.
