Monta Ellis flirted with a triple-double, posting 39 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. He got a boatload of unexpected assistance from Dorrell Wright who canned a career-high seven triples and fell one point shy of tying his career high in racking up 25 points.
Oddly enough, the Grizzlies outshot the Warriors 51% to 41%, but the Warriors built an early advantage at the foul line and buttressed it with a great night shooting threes.
The Grizzlies again used their pesky defense to create steals and a comeback opportunity, but they failed again to guard the three-point line effectively. The Lakers dropped in 14 threes and the Warriors 13. Those are numbers that simply cannot happen for the Grizzlies.
