OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Starting power forward Jeff Green missed his third straight game for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night due to a sprained left ankle.

Coach Scott Brooks says Green is improving and participating more in the Thunder's practices and shootarounds, but was still not ready to return to face the Portland Trail Blazers.

He is listed as day to day.

Oklahoma City was also without reserve Nick Collison, who has missed all eight games this season due to a left leg injury. Third-string point guard Royal Ivey was not with the team due to personal reasons, but Brooks expected him back for Sunday's game against San Antonio.
