Green Bay defeats Wright State 62-55
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Greg Mays scored 22 points and Keifer Sykes added 18 to lead Green Bay over Wright State 62-55 Saturday night.
Tied at 39, Green Bay went on an 11-0 run to take a 50-39 lead with 8:09 remaining. Reggie Arceneaux and Matt Vest hit back-to-back 3-pointers to pull Wright State within four, 57-53, with 2:43 to play. Sykes answered with a 3-pointer to stretch the Phoenix's lead to seven and both teams made two free throws to cap the scoring. With 31 seconds to play, Wright State missed five shots to end the game.
Mays made nine of his ten shots. Sykes finished 7 of 13 from the floor, and has scored 18 or more points in seven of the last nine games for Green Bay (18-4, 8-1 Horizon League).
JT Yoho scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Wright State (13-12, 5-5).
