Good news, bad news: Falcons' Jones dominates, injures hip

Julio Jones was fantasy's highest-scoring wide receiver in Week 14, posting 42.9 PPR points Monday night on the strength of 11 receptions, 259 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, Jones wasn't available for the Falcons' final drive, as he left the game due to a hip injury. The severity of Jones' injury is unclear, but it couldn't have been too minor if the trainers wouldn't let him return during a furious comeback attempt. If you own Jones, keep your fingers crossed, but get a Plan B ready for Week 15.

In other news ...

Johnny Football Watch, Day 9: Browns head coach Mike Pettine has not announced his Week 15 quarterback. It sounds like a change is afoot, but we thought that last week, so stay tuned. (UPDATE: Manziel will start, reports Jay Glazer.)

Packers RB Eddie Lacy also left Monday's game in the fourth quarter due to a hip injury, but it doesn't sound serious.

Cardinals RB Andre Ellington is out for the season with a sports hernia. Kerwynn Williams ran 19 times for 100 yards on Sunday, and appears to be Ellington's primary replacement (surprise!), even though head coach Bruce Arians talked Monday about a committee that includes Stepfan Taylor. Williams should be a free-agent target for RB-needy teams, but he's got a tough matchup Thursday at St. Louis.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) was active against the Bills, but didn't play. He says he'll play this week. Speaking of the Broncos, is anyone else concerned that Peyton Manning has averaged just 30 pass attempts and 203 passing yards over his last three games?

In case you missed it, Bears WR Brandon Marshall (lung, ribs) is done for the season. If you're looking for a free-agent wide receiver, rookie Marquess Wilson figures to slide into Marshall's role, and has a nice matchup against the Saints on Monday night.

Ravens WR Torrey Smith is day-to-day with his sprained knee. Smith was active against the Dolphins, but served only as a decoy.

Jets WR Percy Harvin suffered an ankle injury against the Vikings. Jets head coach Rex Ryan said that Harvin has a low ankle sprain, was in a boot Monday, and "doesn't look great" for Week 15.

Texans WR Andre Johnson suffered a concussion on Sunday, and needs to pass the mandatory league tests before being cleared for the Week 15 matchup with the Colts.

Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) says he wants to start Sunday, but chances are decent that we'll see Robert Griffin III instead. In other Redskins' news, the team hopes that WR DeSean Jackson (leg) will return, but expects to be without RB Roy Helu (toe).

With Zach Mettenberger (shoulder) done for the season, Jake Locker will start at quarterback for the Titans this week. If you're in a two-QB league, Locker wouldn't be a bad option against the Jets.

Giants RB Rashad Jennings was active against the Titans, but got just three touches due to his ankle injury. Even if Jennings' health improves this week, Jennings' owners should be little worried about Andre Williams stealing some of the workload. Williams looked good at Tennessee, running 24 times for 131 yards and a touchdown.

See you back here Friday morning.
