Gonzo, Sanderson Ford team up for Safety Day

Diamondbacks legend Luis Gonzalez will help Sanderson Ford promote safe driving as Sanderson hosts Safety Day on April 16.

Gonzalez will talk about how he ensures his teenage triplets are safe drivers when he speaks from 10 to 11 a.m. in front of the Starliner Diner, 5121 W. Maryland Ave., in Glendale.

Sanderson is also offering free, multi-point car safety inspections from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Luke Ai Force Base firefighters will perform complimentary car-seat safety checks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sanderson's START Technology Team will be onsite to demonstrate various safety and technology features -- including MyKey, which allow parents to program unique driving modes for teen drivers.

As par of Safety Day, FOX Sports Arizona will be on hand to conduct KidKaster audtions from 10 a.m. to noon.
