LAHTI, Finland (AP) Germany beat two Austrian pairs in a World Cup Nordic Combined team sprint on Saturday.
Johannes Rydzek and Fabian Riessle won the 2x7.5-kilometer skiing 18 seconds ahead of Austria's first pair of Bernhard Gruber and Lukas Klapfer. Austria's second team of Franz-Josef Rehrl and Philipp Orter was 1 minute, 40 seconds behind in third.
Jarl Riiber of Norway had the day's biggest ski jump of 128 meters, setting up a 57-second advantage over Germany for himself and teammate Jan Schmid.
But Riiber looked to be hampered in the ski section by an arm injury, and Norway finished fifth.

The previous day, Riiber crossed the first in an individual competition, but was disqualified for going the wrong way.
