ATHENS, Ga. -- All-American linebacker Jarvis Jones of Georgia will enter the NFL draft.

Jones informed the school Friday that he won't be returning for his senior year. He passed up a chance to leave school last season, opting to stick with the Bulldogs for the chance to win a championship. Georgia lost to Alabama 32-28 in the Southeastern Conference title game, just missing a chance to play for the BCS crown against top-ranked Notre Dame.

Jones made a quick decision, announcing his plans three days after a 45-31 victor over Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl. He is expected to be one of the top picks in the draft.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pounder played 26 games with Georgia after transferring from Southern Cal. He had 28 sacks, the third most in school history.
