The Atlanta Hawks are one of five franchises in the NBA that the Bobcats have a winning record overall against.(The others would be Minnesota, the Lakers, Sacramento and Philadelphia) Charlotte is 13-9 in games with the Hawks over the last 5 and a half years. However, that mesure of success does not extend to when the two teams play in Atlanta. The Hawks have beaten the Bobcats 5 straight times at Phillips Arena.
The Bobcats will be close to full strength when they face the Hawks tonight. Gerald Wallace is back and will play after sitting out three games with a foot and ankle sprain suffered last Friday against the Clippers. Gana Diop is back and travelling with the Bobcats and Larry Hughes has been given the clearance to play if needed against the Hawks tonight.
