Game of one-on-one basketball turns into marriage proposal
Does anyone still get engaged by sharing a private moment for just two at a secluded table in a restaurant, under a street light by a park bench or on the porch swing at mom and dad's house?
Maybe so, but then we wouldn't have videos to share, would we?
When a former college basketball player, Alex Johnson from North Carolina State, decided to propose to his girlfriend, Brey Dorsett, also a former college player from Johnson C. Smith, he did it during a game of one-on-one in a packed gym.
Johnson faked an injury, then got up on one knee with a diamond ring in his hand. Take a look:
Here's one thing we noticed: In the midst of all the celebrating and back-slapping and hugging from Johnson's friends, Dorsett wants the ball to continue the game, because she's down two buckets.
While the 2000 movie "Love & Basketball" inspired the moment, we can't pass up the opportunity to reference one of Hall and Oates' great hits, "One on One."
