FSU's Jameis Winston, Miami's Duke Johnson earn ACC honors
The honors keep piling up for Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston and Miami tailback Duke Johnson.
Winston was named ACC rookie of the week for the third time on Monday. He completed 23 of 32 passes for a career-high 393 yards and career-high five touchdown passes in a 63-0 rout of Maryland.
He has also picked up three national honors. Winston was named Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week on Monday and was chosen National Offensive Player of the Week by both the Walter Camp Foundation and Athlon Sports on Sunday.
Johnson had 325 all-purpose yards in Miami's 45-30 win over Georgia Tech. He had 184 rushing yards and 114 kick return yards. A sophomore, Johnson leads the Hurricanes with 572 rushing yards.
Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd, who threw for a school-record 455 yards in the Tigers' rout of Syracuse, was name the ACC's offensive back of the week.
