American troops serving overseas will be connected with Cardinal Nation on Friday, May 25, when FOX Sports Midwest presents This One’s For You, its annual St. Louis Cardinals telecast recognizing the Armed Forces.

U.S. troops throughout the world will watch FOX Sports Midwest’s broadcast of the Phillies-Cardinals game on American Forces Network. At the same time, FOX Sports Midwest will conduct interviews via a live satellite link with Fort Leonard Wood troops deployed to Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. The troops are from the 463rd Military Police Company and 988th Military Police Company.

Meanwhile at Busch Stadium in St. Louis troops’ family members will cheer on the Cardinals. All Cardinals fans are encouraged to participate in the event – those attending the game are encouraged to bring signs, and those watching on TV will be able to send greetings via social media.

FOX Sports Midwest’s May 25 game telecast will start at 7 p.m. CT. That’s 4:30 a.m. local time at Bagram Air Field, where the Fort Leonard Wood soldiers will be watching.

The telecast may also include taped video greetings from Missouri National Guard airmen and soldiers in Egypt, Qatar and Afghanistan.

This One’s For You is produced by FOX Sports Midwest in coordination with the Cardinals, American Forces Network, DVIDS (Defense Video & Imagery Distribution System), Fort Leonard Wood and the Missouri National Guard. This is the third straight year, and fifth overall, in which FOX Sports Midwest will present This One’s For You.
