Free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer zeroing in on Houston?
Cleveland Browns free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer is set to leave the team but the destination remains up in the air, according to reports Monday morning.
In that case, Hoyer would again have to compete for a starting quarterback job, just as he did with Johnny Manziel at training camp before this past season.
And yes, Brian Hoyer expected to join Mallett in Houston once FA opens. I believe @NBCdianna had that a little bit ago.

Expectation is that Brian Hoyer will be in Houston to sign the deal tomorrow at 3 p.m. CT. And @RapSheet says Ryan Mallett has a deal, too.

Hoyer, a northeast Ohio native, started 16 games in two seasons with the Browns, throwing 17 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His last four starts in a Browns uniform were a struggle, as he found paydirt only once and was picked eight times, which led to his benching for the rookie Manziel.
The #Texans have agreed to terms with QB Ryan Mallett, source said. So it’ll be Hoyer & Mallett in Houston.

The Browns recently signed veteran free agent quarterback Josh McCown to a three-year deal.
