The plays the Clippers were running late in the game Sunday against the Hornets were going to end up one of three ways.
Either Blake Griffin was going to slam home a lob, Chris Paul was going to shoot a layup or Randy Foye was going to take a 3.
With defenses concentrating on Lob City's brightest stars, Foye's been able to pick his spots, and Sunday in the Clippers' 107-98 win over the Hornets, he made a gigantic impact.
Foye scored 24 points and hit on 6-of-12 from 3-point range, including 3-of-4 in the fourth quarter with the Clippers trying to mount a comeback.
"I've always shot the 3-ball pretty well," Foye said. "But not like this."
In his last five games, Foye's made 17 3's.
"He was amazing out there for us tonight," Clippers guard Chris Paul said. "He was able to hit big shot after big shot."
The Clippers follow up their come-from-behind win by traveling to Atlanta to play the Hawks on Tuesday.

Team angry, frustrated over hard fouls
--In what will likely be a trend through the end of the season, the Clippers continued to answer questions about hard fouls and what they plan to do to prevent them.
Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro discussed it Saturday at practice, saying that there's not much the team can do because of the threat of suspensions and fines.
Sunday, he echoed that sentiment, though he voiced displeasure with the NBA for not suspending Phoenix's Robin Lopez.
"I do have an issue with Blake getting hit that hard, and he's in pain and he's still in pain, and the player that did that played yesterday," Del Negro said. "I have a problem with that."
The Clippers committed the only flagrant foul Sunday night against the Hornets, with Mo Williams wrapping up Eric Gordon above his shoulders. Williams was called for a flagrant one.
--In the fourth quarter, Clippers forward Reggie Evans was sent sprawling after a forearm from Greivis Vasquez. Vasquez was called for a flagrant two foul, but after reviewing the play, it was clear Evans comically flopped and the play was downgraded to just a personal foul.

--F Kenyon Martin came off the bench and grabbed seven rebounds. Martin also scored six points to go with two steals and a block.
--G Chris Paul hit 17-of-19 from the free throw line on his way to scoring a game-high 33 points. Paul also finished with 13 assists and eight steals against the Hornets.
--F Blake Griffin hit 7-of-10 from the field Sunday night, scoring 21 points. Griffin made 7-of-9 from the foul line and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win.
--G Randy Foye continued his hot shooting from 3-point range. Foye made six from beyond the arc Sunday, bringing his total to 17 made 3-point shots in his last five games.
