FOX Sports Florida, Sun Sports announce Lightning first-round TV schedule

TAMPA, Fla. -- FOX Sports Florida and Sun Sports announced the networks television schedule for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s first round playoff series versus the Detroit Red Wings, beginning with Game 1 on Thursday, April 16, live on FOX Sports Florida. FOX Sports Florida / Sun Sports will televise all first round games except those exclusive to NBC.

Lightning fans and viewers throughout North / Central Florida will want to get to a television early, as all home and road television broadcasts will feature a one-hour pregame show. Each game will also feature an extended, one-hour postgame show. With games scheduled to be replayed late at night and the following day, FOX Sports Florida / Sun Sports will be airing over 40 hours of Lightning programming on the networks throughout the series.

Play-by-play announcer Rick Peckham and color analyst Bobby “The Chief” Taylor will provide viewers with expert commentary throughout the first round, while host Paul Kennedy will join analysts Dave Andreychuk and Chris Dingman on the broadcasts, alongside rink side reporter Michelle Gingras.
