We were disappointed to learn that last evening some overzealous fans removed the head off the life-size Jimmy Howard bobblehead that was part of FOX Sports Detroit's 2014 April in the D campaign. We are happy to report that the individuals involved in the incident have been apprehended and Jimmy's head has been returned.
The life-size bobbleheads were designed to be auctioned off for various Detroit charities after the April in the D campaign, so we are very pleased that this has been resolved and we can continue with those plans.
We want to thank everyone involved in making sure this story had a happy ending including the Detroit Police Department, Allen Park Police Department, and the downtown community business partners such as Campus Martius Park, the Downtown Detroit Partnership, Rock Ventures Security Team, and Ilitch Holdings.
