FOX Sports Arizona honored for its Diamondbacks coverage
>>Network is finalist for Cynopsis Sports Media National Award
The finalists for the sixth annual Cynopsis Sports Media Awards were announced Tuesday, and FOX Sports Arizona is in the running for a national award for its coverage of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
FOX Sports Arizona was named one of the four finalists in the "Seasonal Coverage (Regional)" category, joining FOX Sports South (Braves), SNY (Mets) and McClatchy Video Lab / Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Titletown, TX). The category honors regional sports networks that showcase programming dedicated to a local team throughout a single season. The winner will be announced in New York City at the New York Athletic Club on April 13.
"This honor is the result of the amazing level of creativity, dedication and work ethic produced by everyone who is involved in our D-backs coverage," said Brian Hogan, FOX Sports Arizona Senior Vice President and General Manager. "To be honored for a national award such as this shows how well respected our D-backs programming is."
FOX Sports Arizona is the exclusive local television home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and will televise an all-time high 161 games in 2017. It will also offer 25 Spanish language broadcasts, pre and post-game shows before and after every telecast and numerous offerings from its Emmy Award winning original programming department throughout the season.
