Fowler talks with Israel Sports Radio
Fantasy baseball and football are growing in popularity. This much we know to be true. However, I’d be lying if I thought the hobby turned religion, for some, reached Jerusalem. That’s right, earlier this week I was contacted by producer/host, Raphael Gellar, who wondered if I’d be interested in coming on his show that is based out of Israel.
Um, yes.
In fact, my time slot of 11:30 AM EST was slightly bumped on Thursday because Gellar also booked New York Giants’ offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride to join him and his co-hosts on Israel Sports Radio. Despite broadcasting out of the Middle East, and as you will learn by listening, these three hosts know their American sports and have a vast wealth of fantasy knowledge and know which questions to ask.
Now, I was on the air for 35-40 minutes, so the show had to be broken up into two parts. The second half of the segment, we focused on the 2012 fantasy baseball season. Roy Halladay, Brandon Beachy and Joey Votto all were discussed with the guys. Enjoy.
