Former NFL player calls Tony Romo a 'thief'

By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Here come the haters! Former NFL defensive lineman Travis Johnson (who? exactly) went on CSN Houston recently and blasted Dallas quarterback Tony Romo. Apparently, Romo's new $108 million contract rubs Johnson the wrong way. Johnson went on a rant that rivaled your average professional wrestling promo. "When Tony Romo got to Dallas he had everything around him and was a loser," Johnson said. “At one time he had five Pro Bowlers on the offensive line. They have no passing game, so nobody’s worried about the run." Then the subject turned to talking about Texans QB Matt Schaub since the TV show is based in Houston. But that didn't stop Johnson from continuing to aim both barrels at Romo. "Tony Romo has not earned a dollar he’s been given in this league," Johnson said. “Matt Schaub will get the job done. I believe in him. I played with him and against him. He can take this team to a Super Bowl." Wow. But Johnson wasn't done. "Tony Romo is not that guy. He is a thief. They need to bring him up on federal charges right now. He’s killing the franchise." Tell us how you really feel, dude. In case you were wondering, Johnson was a first-round pick of the Texans back in 2006. After dealing with injury issues, he was traded to the Chargers in 2009 for a sixth-round draft pick. Johnson had 136 tackles and 3 sacks in a six-year NFL career. If anyone knows about killing a franchise, it's this guy ... maybe we should listen to his opinion.
