Former NBA All-Stars Micheal Ray Richardson, Danny Manning and Otis Birdsong were in Moore, Okla., Thursday for a benefit basketball camp for students from Briarwood and Plaza Towers elementary schools.

"It was devastating to watch it," Richardson told the Associated Press. He lives in Lawton, Okla., about 60 miles from Moore, where
the May 20 tornado destroyed both of the elementary schools. "I just thought if there’s anything I can do to help, I’m going to do it."

The camp was sponsored by the National Basketball Retired Players Association.

The tornado killed 10 children, including seven from Plaza Towers.

After the camp, the kids were invited to play laser tag and video games in an event sponsored by the Police Athletic League.
