Former Bearcat and Bengal reportedly blows out knee
Former Cincinnati Bearcat and Bengal Armon Binns was supposed to get a shot to become a regular for the Miami Dolphins this season, but the wide receiver suffered a major setback Sunday when he reportedly tore knee ligaments during practice.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald initially reported the unfortunate development early Sunday evening.
Am told Dolphins WR Armon Binns suffered torn ACL and MCL today. Out for season. Likely would have been Fins' No. 4 receiver.#dolphins

The 6-3, 209-pound Binns played eight games last season for the Bengals, including five starts, before being claimed on waivers by the Dolphins. He played in three games for Miami, catching six passes for 67 yards. He caught 18 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown for the Bengals.
Binns was a four-year letter-winner at UC from 2007-10 and posted a pair of 1,000-yard receiving seasons as a Bearcat.
