For sale: Greg Jennings puts house on market
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If there was any remaining doubt whether two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings is going to be back with the Packers next season, it may have been erased Monday. Jennings' 4,788 square-foot home in De Pere, Wis. -- located 10 minutes from Lambeau Field -- was put up for sale with an asking price of $525,000. The listing is currently being featured on Realtor.com in a blog from the company's staff writer, Neal J. Leitereg. The house features five bedrooms and five bathrooms on a 0.37-acre lot. Jennings was drafted by the Packers in the second round in 2006. He's played all seven of his NFL seasons in Green Bay but is now an unrestricted free agent. As Jennings cleaned out his locker following the Packers' divisional-round playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the 29-year-old seemed ready to move on to another team. "I'm going to play football," Jennings said on Jan. 13. "I'm going to train hard this offseason and be prepared to play football next year. That's all I can control and that's what I'll do. That's what I'm best at, and I'm excited for that. "They're going to do what's best for the Packers and the organization. And as the other half of the businessman sitting down at that table, I have to do what's best for myself and my family." Jennings also didn't seem too heartbroken if he had just played his final game with Green Bay. "I don't know if there is a difficult part," Jennings said about the possibility of leaving the Packers. "Like I said, I'm excited for the future. Football is going to be football. I'm excited for that." In Jennings' career, he has 425 catches for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns. He is coming off the worst season of his career, however, playing in only eight games due to injury and finishing with just 36 receptions for 366 yards and four touchdowns.
