For Pacers' Teague, you can go home again -- and live with Mom and Dad

When new Pacers point guard Jeff Teague says he's happy to come home to Indianapolis, he's really home. As in, moving back in with Mom and Dad.

Teague, who was acquired from Atlanta in a three-team, pre-draft deal that sent fellow Indianapolis native George Hill to Utah, will make $8 million in the final year of a contract he signed with the Hawks. But he won't be buying a mansion in his hometown. His parents' house will do just fine.

"My mom has a nice house," he said Monday at his introductory press conference with the Pacers when asked where he would be living.

Indeed she does. As Teague told FOX Sports 97.5 FM radio in Indianapolis on Monday, he'll live at that house for the full season. It's not the house he grew up in, but it's home.

"I bought a home here some years back," the 28-year-old told the station. "And when I re-signed back with Atlanta, I just decided I was going to live in Atlanta and I just gave the house to my mom and dad. And now I sold my house in Atlanta, so now I'm moving back and now I'm going to live in my old house with my mom and dad."

He won't be kicking his parents out of their bedroom, either: "They got the master. I just got the basement."

Even so, pretty sweet arrangement for the season. Will it extend beyond that? Well, he and the Pacers would need to agree on a new contract first -- something Teague, a seven-year NBA veteran, is eager to explore.

"I would love to be here," he told reporters at the Monday presser. "I'm from here. I always wanted to play for the Pacers. ... Hopefully, be here for a long time."

At least the Pacers will know where to find him.
