MIAMI -- Once again, the media crowded around the Lakers on Wednesday as they rolled into a big game and asked the same old questions about clashing egos, bad chemistry and whether they're going to figure it out in time to save their season.

Except that for the first time this season, the questions weren't about the Lakers. They were about the other guys.

The spotlight and the pointed questions are now being directed at the Miami Heat, losers of five in a row, a turn of events that nobody on the Lakers seemed to mind.

"Those guys captivated a lot of people," Lakers captain Derek Fisher said before the Lakers practiced. "They're top copy -- win or lose, rightly or wrongly. They've created a lot of buzz. I'm sure it's not easy to be in their shoes right now."

For much of this season, the Lakers knew just how uncomfortably they fit. After being blown out by Miami on Christmas Day, Kobe Bryant seethed and promised to start kicking people's butts in practice. (Of course, he promised to do the same thing the week before the game, but little good it did.)

The Lakers then lost twice to San Antonio. They were punished at home by Boston. They were beaten in Dallas. Coupled with an earlier loss to Chicago, the string of losses raised the same question that is now being asked of the Heat
