Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Drew Smyly will need a new windshield for his BMW soon. On Monday, infielder Tim Beckham cracked a ball in batting practice that smashed the front windshield of Smyly's car at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida.
If insurance doesn't cover the costs of a replacement, apparently Smyly will have a whole bunch of meal money coming his way.
