Much like his 1981 Cy Young/MVP season for the Brewers, Rollie Fingers -- given the No. 1 seed in our Best Whiskered Wisconsin Athlete bracket -- was barely touched in being crowned the tournament champion by readers.

Fingers, with his well-known handlear mustache, trounced all would-be challengers in winning the title.

Gorman Thomas, a teammate of Fingers with the Brewers, was a surprise finalist after receiving a No. 7 seed.

But in the end, no one could vanquish Fingers and his trademark look.
