WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) Barnstorming Fiji winger Nemani Nadolo has confirmed he will join French club Montpellier at the end of the 2016 Super Rugby season.

Nadolo said Monday he will quit the Christchurch-based Crusaders to join Montpellier, coached by World Cup-winning Springboks coach Jake White, on a three year deal.

He said he had been reluctant to leave the Crusaders, who gave him the chance to revive his Super Rugby career when they signed him in 2013. He repaid their faith by scoring 22 tries in 27 matches, became Fiji captain and was one of the stars of this year's World Cup.

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said Nadolo ''is one of those special players who only come along every once in a while. He is built like a tank but has skills and speed that defy his size.''
