Felix's transition bolsters Sun Devils

Carrick Felix grew up a skateboarder, with the X Games, not NCAA games, in his sights.

With the help of his bothers, Felix converted to basketball his freshman year in at Goodyear Millennium high, where he started as the team manager and developed into the team star, a road that led him to the College of Southern Idaho 18 months ago and Duke University last summer.

His time in Durham was short. When Kyle Singler returned to school instead of opting for the NBA after the Blue Devils won the NCAA tournament last season, Felix's opportunity for significant playing time took a hit. After a month of pickup ball, Felix returned home to take ASU's standing scholarship offer.
